I began my fitness journey back in 1984, joining South Hedland Fitness. Lifting weights. reading magazines, the appetite for health and fitness had begun. In 1988 I enlisted in the Australian Army, Physically demanding role with ruthless military training. During my time in the services I began doing boxing and martial arts, Muay Thai / kickboxing etc In 1992 I left the Australian Regular Army, to spend time with my family. 1993 completed courses through Fitlink and registered with Australian Accreditation Council (later Fitness Australia) People often associate fitness with pain not enjoyable. I believe it’s important to make training fun / stimulating, so my clients incorporate it into their lives. Through personalized training sessions, I deliver programs that are individualized and tailored to the needs of my clients.

Training should do something. Build strength. Build resilience. Keep you working hard without falling apart. That's my whole philosophy, everything else is detail. Three things I focus on: STRENGTH TRAINING Barbells, dumbbells, kettlebells, bodyweight. You'll learn to move well under load - safely, and in a way that actually holds up over time. PRACTICAL MOBILITY & FLEXIBILITY Move better, actively and passively. Better posture, fewer injuries, more range. Not stretching for the sake of stretching. WORK CAPACITY Developing your aerobic engine and lactate threshold, so you can sustain effort and intensity without redlining.

have over a decade of experience in the health and fitness industry across sales, management, and practitioner roles. My experience is backed by a Bachelor’s Degree in Health Science and a PhD focused on the business of fitness, alongside a lifetime in high-level sport as a nationally ranked kayaker and international-level powerlifting athlete, coach, and referee. Over the past five years, I have specialised in working with medical professionals and older adults, helping clients reduce pain, improve movement, and build confidence through evidence-based strength training. To make these services more accessible, I developed the Infinite App, delivering structured rehabilitation and strength programs online. In May 2026, I relocated to Sydney to take up a Senior Lectureship in Sport at the Global Institute of Sport while continuing to run Infinite online. I am currently looking for a Sydney gym to call home.

I have been an instructor and Personal Trainer since 1998 based in both Melbourne and Sydney I used to teach between 25-30 classes per week as a freelance instructor- healthlands, Pumphouse, FTP, Sydney uni, manly leagues, Inshape, norths. It was challenging but totally rewarding and fulfilling. Then I found my home at Fitness First. I started in 2000 and other than a short break where I lived overseas it’s been the main source of employment, joy, laughter and wonderful friendships. Now I teach between 10-15 Group Ex classes a week with a focus on Les Mills training systems: Body Pump, Attack, Combat, Step and Balance. I also held a Personal training franchise at FF Nth Sydney for 8 years where I specialised in women’s fitness, strength and conditioning as well as pre and post natal trading and fitness. Now, other than my classes I conduct studio personal training for Individuals, small and large groups.
